The “Allianz für Cyber-Sicherheit” (Alliance for Cyber Security) is an initiative of the German Federal Office for Information Security
(Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik) which was founded in cooperation with the German Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunication and New Media (Bundesverband Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien). As the association of all important actors in the field of cyber security in Germany, the organisation has the objective of providing blanket coverage of current and valid information. The Alliance is constructing a comprehensive knowledge base to achieve this goal and supports the exchange of information and experience between members. At the present time more than 859 institutions belong to the Alliance, of which 83 are partners and 32 are multiplers.
